Magistrate Jessica R. Rambo
Magistrate Rambo joined the Court in 2026. Prior to joining the bench, Magistrate Rambo was a litigation attorney in private practice, concentrating her practice in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Juvenile Law.
Magistrate Rambo received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology with a minor in Women’s Studies from The University of South Florida in 2012. She began her legal studies at The University of Dayton School of Law in 2014, where she was named Chief Justice of the Moot Court Team, Staff Writer for the University of Dayton Law Review, Best Oralist in the Walter H. Rice Moot Court Competition, and earned seven CALI awards. She received her J.D. with Honors in 2017.
Magistrate Rambo is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Indiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Magistrates. She graduated from the Ohio Bar Association Leadership Academy in 2020 and was recognized by Super Lawyer as a “Rising Star” for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
In her free time, Magistrate Rambo enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
Courtroom
The Magistrate conducts all hearings in Courtroom 109 which is located on the first floor of the Court Building. All parties are required to check-in with staff in Room 103.
Once you pass through security, turn right and it will be on the left-hand side of the hallway across from the Clerk of Court’s Office.
